Family-friendly campsite in Byrkjelo, western norway. Panoramic view of Eggenibba.
Byrkjelo camping has cabins in several sizes and price ranges. The campsite offers spacious pitches with power outlets for caravans and mobile homes, with a solid surface. Separate lawn area for tents without electricity connection down by the river. The common building contains sanitary rooms, kitchen, laundry and living room. Kiosk in high season. Short walk to convenience store, cafe and supermarket.
This is a great holiday resort for families with children, with a large outdoor area, playground, barbecue hut and campfire site. Also suitable for adults, who want to explore the magnificent Nordfjord nature, or just relax in the sun .
The campsite has its own swimming facilities with a large sun terrace, heated swimming pool and paddling pool for the little ones. This is open daily during the school holidays. There is an entrance ticket to the facility, half price for own guests.
Byrkjelo and the surrounding area have many beautiful marked hikes. Everything from easy hikes on gravel roads in smooth terrain, to summit hikes. Information about these can be obtained at reception, or you can visit the tourist information in the convenience store. Our municipality, Gloppen, has many beautiful and interesting attractions. Nordfjord Folk Museum, Holvikjekta and several other cultural-historical objects. A walk in the Fjord Village Sandane or the associated Trivselsskogen with Fosseteateret should also be on the program.
There is good trout fishing in the area, information is available at the reception, where you can also buy fishing licenses.
